Delvin Homestay ulasan
24 Our experience was not very good in this accommodation. We booked 5 days for 6 people from Spain, two Bongalows on the water, when we arrived they told us that they were all occupied and that we had to stay in others until the other guests left. When they finally gave us the water two days later, we realized that he did the same thing with all the guests, they made reservations in the water and when they arrived at the homestay he told them that there had been a problem, or that he didn't have internet, of course. Everything was full.a disaster.
Apart from all this, Danny is very unpleasant, he canceled one excursion without telling us, he was late on another and we couldn't do it, one day he told us one thing and the next day it was another. When we went to complain, he literally told us that he " no blablabla” and immediately he canceled our diving for the next day out of nowhere. Finally we ended up doing the excursions with Tina's homestay next door and another one a little further away that were great.
As for the rooms and facilities, they are basic and it is quite hot, the common areas are dirty and nothing is collected or cleaned. In the bathrooms, we found LARVAE IN THE WATER THAT COMES OUT FROM THE TAP TO SHOWER, we ended up showering with bottles of fresh water. There is no fresh water in the bathrooms only salt water. The food is repetitive (rice, vegetables, fish and some chicken sometimes.) but in general the portions are good. The views are beautiful (but in general in all the homestays on this island they are) and snorkeling is phenomenal.
In summary, the accommodation is basic and poorly cleaned, the bathrooms are disgusting, the food is not bad for one or two days, the treatment is undoubtedly the worst, I would not repeat this accommodation nor recommend it to anyone.
We love Delvin Guest House! Diving with Danny is interesting and useful, he sees such small creatures that I would never see. Accurate and correct. Gives advice on when and how it changes for the snorkel in front of the house. Bandalina cooks very tasty. There are 4 G. Reserve by Watsapp in time.
We stayed at Delvin homestay for 10 amazing days. Danny is a very skilled divers who brought us to all the best divesites around Kri and in the area. The equipment is working perfectly and we were lucky to have the boat for ourselves for 9 days. Danny has been diving in Raja Ampat for the last 12 years and takes you to the different dive site depending on the conditions.
The accomodation is simple but it's bungalows over the water with a sunset in front. Food is good and you get different meals every day, they can adapt to vegetarian.
It was a very good alternative to the very expensive resorts around and crowded dive boats. I highly recomend staying with Danny and his family!
The family that runs this homestay is exceptionally helpful. When I arrived the homestay beside it was full as was Delvin Homestay but they gave me one of the family's rooms at a bargain price when they could have charged much more. When I left Dani, the owner organized onward tramsport again at a really inexpensive price when he could have charged more. The food was tasty and plentifull and the numerous family members were really friendly. Watching the children play with makeshift toys was quite entertaining. The homestay is also a dive centre and guests who did that were ecstatic about what they saw. One of the guests who stays there regularly said Dani is exceptionally competent if there was an underwater problem with a diver.
I dived with them and was very disappointed. The equipment is old, the guide was jaded, he took me to the nearest spot and showed me nothing underwater. No briefing before the dive and no indication under water, safety to review. I do not recommend.
We stayed only 2 days but we would stay more if we could! Really nice place
Dany is very nice, bungalows are clean / confortable / nice view on the sunset! Bathroom are ok (same everywhere)
The food is quite good and change everyday
You can do snorkelling in front of the bungalows (amazing, maybe the best we did)
For diving, we are in the good place! Dany will take care of you and will choose the place that you want to do! He is very professionnal, nice and you’ll spend funny times under the water!
No more talking about dives, you have to discover this paradise without spoil
Anyway, you can go to Delvin homestay 100%!
Delvin dive centre outstanding diving and great service
we enjoy so much.the owner danny is Legendary.
Suasana bagus, diving dgn pak Dani ahli selam sepertinya, alat2 utk selam ada, spot utk snorkling dekat.masakan mnuruy saya enak, sipp.sesuai dilidah
We just came home from Raja ampat and spent our first night in Delvin Homestay. They are currently in the process of renovating and seems like our room was newly built. The rooms were clean and the view was amazing, they have hammock on the front porch where you can enjoy the sunset from & a table overlooking the ocean.
Overall an amazing stay and i hope tourism in Raja Ampat picks up again post pandemic.
Bungalows and waterhuts on the beach with public toilet. Eletricity runs only in the night. Nice place and food. Have dive center. Good atmosphere. But have to renew toilets.
We had such a great time. Booked 3, stayed 7 nights. Lovely family, great food. If it's possible, stay at the overwater bungalows.
Danny is a very experienced diver. No nonsence, reliable guy to dive with. They have very nice house reef right in front. Many species including sharks. Go for water bungalow. The toilet is not the best but i guess it's mostly like than in most homestays in raja ampat.
Very nice and helpful family, exceptionally delicious food and a good starting point for snorkeling trips. Saw sharks, sea turtles and millions of beautiful fish at snorkeling spots nearby. Contrarily to what can be read about the owner Dani on the Stay Raja Ampat page, he was very reliable and punctual. He was very kind and his prices were decent. His family is extremely sweet (he's got 6 children and a grandson). The bungalows are quite basic just as those at the neighbouring homestays, whose view and relaxation a might be a little nicer. But the positive aspects outweighted that and overall we are very happy to be here.

This place is simple, as are all homestays in kri some better than the others slightly. The only have a few rooms here I was staying at the one on the water which there is only one. I've heard some complaints about the garden rooms but I can only talk about my own experience. I do like my room, my view and has a comfortable bed. And that is all I can ask for. The food is good, however breakfast isn't the best meal here. As far as the dive shop goes he has a small boat so if there are more than 3 divers it feels a bit crowded however I was alon with him for most days and it was glorious, I'm not going to speak about how great the dive sites are, he can't take any credit for that but they are, he has alot of experience here, he knows the water and he is passionate. He is fare and I like his diving style. No non sence he gets on with it. I highly recommend him it would be a bonus if u get him on his own. And he is very fare with his prices.
So good.
Best price in Raja.
Delfin really nice guy.
I really enjoy to dive with him.
Safe and fun
STAY AWAY FROM DELWINS HOMESTAY!
We stayed 3 days/2 nights at Delwin’s, which was a very disappointing experience:
– The guy that runs this place – Dani – is a fraud and ruined our Raja Ampat experience. On our first day we arranged a day trip to a few other islands with a couple of other people for the next day at 7: 30. The next day however, we ended up waiting 1.5 hours because Danny had to go buy fuel for the boat. And when the fuel had finally arrived, the engine of the boat didn’t work and we ended up not doing the trip at all. Even worse, it was A LOT of hassle to get our money back, which we had to pay beforehand (fuel.). Despite the letdown experience, we arranged another trip with him the next day for 9 am, but Danny just didn’t even show up until 12, which was too late for the trip. When we mentioned our dissatisfaction, he didn’t care and told us to just leave, there would be enough other tourists coming to stay at his place anyway…
– The on land bungalows are worn down and quite dirty.
– “Fresh water” from the tap is salty (probably same at the other Homestays on Pulau Kri)
– Rats in the bungalows. Keep you food in the public fridge!
– Food was decent, fish and rice in different varieties and there were always mangos or bananas for desert.
– There is no good place in the common area to hang out and chill. During high tide, there is no beach on Pulau kri except at the western tip (take a look at the Homestay at this part of the island). If you stay at a beachside bungalow, you have at least a hammock and a little balcony in front of the bungalow. The on land bungalows are small and cramped and have no hammock or other kind of place to chill.
– Watch out for your personal stuff; my hat mysteriously disappeared from the jetty while I was snorkeling…
TL: DR: Stay elsewhere in Raja Ampat, mostly because the guy that runs this place is only looking to make a few fast bucks and does not care about his guests at all.
First day, we got fried banana for breakfast but on 2nd day no breakfast. The electricity will turn on start from 6pm to 6am.
Good dinner but I think there's bed bug
