Daroyen Village Raja Ampat

An authentic experience with Herman's family. We took advantage of exceptional dives perfectly led by Karlos who knows privileged spots and equally beautiful surface intervals. The reefs in front of the home stay are breathtaking.
A very nice vacation, well surrounded, well fed. Herman went out of his way to organize everything in terms of logistics (transfer, excursion, etc.) Thank you all the family.

Stayed with Herman and his family for 6 days. I can highly recommend if you want to experience local Papuan culture. Herman helps organize all transfers from Sorong with is nice. Food is perfect for vegetarians as well. Standards are of course different from a 5* hotel in Europe, but in case you want to support a local family and have a lot of quiet time to dive, snorkel and enjoy the sea - that’s the place to be. Also regarding diving - I did 5 dives to various dive sites around Kri with the dive master Karlos. He was professional and helped me a lot given it has been quite some time after my PADI open water. I felt safe. Thus in case you come as a tourist and want to support local families, try out their diving - wet suits might not be the newest as in other newly opened dive sites, but you will benefit from more flexibility in terms of what time to go diving, which spots to go to and from 1-2 people per dive master.

Herman was very accurate and helpful. I didn’t stay at his Homestay but he helped me more than my own homestay. He offered for quite cheap price snorkeling trips with duvet groups. He picked me up and back. So if you stay on Kri. Contact him. You can always walk to his place

The owner and family are sincere and delivered their very best to fulfil my needs in this pretty little homestay.

We stayed at Herman's for 5 days. We were made very welcome by Herman and his family. The food was very good. There are only two bungalows in this homestay which are spaced far enough apart to allow for privacy. The rooms are basic but very clean and overlook the sea. They offer half-day snorkelling boat trips and full-day excursions to Pianeymo. Excellent value.

Will be remembered forever! We live in a bungalow right above the water.watervilla, but the amenities include a mattress and a canopy + a table and, very nicely, a deck chair and a table on the porch. It seems that it is so little, but.the weather allows you to sleep only under a sheet, and the sound of the waves is so authentic! Toilet and shower in a separate house. Simple, but the feeling of a 5* hotel. There is a part of the ocean right around and under you, other islands are visible.such Papua - in the very heart. And the food is masterpieces for lunch and dinner, and for breakfast fresh pastries and pancakes! They did not expect! The owners and their assistants take care of their guests, giving maximum care and attention. Thank you! You can take fins, masks, kayak. We spent a lot of time on excursions around the islands.

A piece of paradise! The hosts are extremely kind and they cooking excellent even the simple food! Ask them to prepare a fish for you and you taste the God's food!

We stayed in Raja Ampat on a private yacht and coordinated with Daroyen Village for diving. They were very accommodating and helped us located a mooring ball to use for our boat. We dove with them two separate days and both dives were excellent! We also had dinner at their Homestay. The prices were very reasonable and my experience with them was great. I highly recommend staying with Daroyen Village!

A cozy homestay with an attached dive center. They have 2 speed boats and a long boat which gives 2 or 3 groups of divers the flexibility to choose different dive sites on a day's dive trip. Herman, the owner, is very flexible and takes his clients suggestions into consideration when planning sites to visit.

The homestay has a communal feel and does feel like a little village which is very nice.

Booking is easy through Whatsapp and they accept credit card payments.

Be careful with this homestay, i met 2 different groups with each 3-4 people and their stay was horrible. Unsafe diving gear & compressor, people got sick from the air, compressor fillter completely black. Do not pay in advance! At homestays where i have been, i never had to pay in advance. So that you can have a look and leave if it does no fit you.
